Based in Arizona, Destruction Unit is the trashy, electronic fueled garage brainchild of Ryan "Elvis" Wong (the wongs, Reatards, Tokyo Electron) along with Jay Reatard (Reatards, Lost Sounds, angry angles) and Alicja Trout (Lost Sounds, Black Sunday) who often accompany him on live shows and also appeared on the 2006 record Death To The New Flesh and Destruction Unit's debut, Self Destruction Of A Man. The 7" My Disease was released in 2001 on Contaminated Records. Destruction Unit were featured on The Screamers tribute The Necessary Effect, Screamers Songs Interpreted.
