Eva Trout is an alternative rock band from Australia. In 1993, ex-Catherine Wheel bass player Grant Shanahan placed an advertisement for a guitarist, and was answered by musician Bek-Jean Stewart. Stewart convinced Shanahan to listen to her perform on a live radio broadcast, and Shanahan then scrapped the vocalist with whom he had been working. The act would release a five song EP in 1994, but there would be major personnel changes a year later during the sessions for their debut album, including the addition of keyboardist Steph Miller, drummer Bert Thomson, and guitarist Matt Galvin.[1]
