Renegade Android is aka Shawn Shackelford. Born in 1977, he's been experimenting with computer audio since the mid-90's. His earlier work (all free to download) can best be described as a more comical take on breakcore, fusing highly flanged, minimal pop melodies with severely chopped, distorted breakbeats. He released his first two albums (Self-Titled 2nd Edition & The Sprawl) with net-label D-Trash Records in 1999 & 2003.
