Hexperos (formed in October 2004, Italy) is a project by Alessandra Santovito, former leader of Gothica, and Francesco Forgione, a creative double bass player, keyboardist, guitarist and composer. Their style is reminiscent of neo-classical chamber music. Alessandra is a talented soprano, wielding various styles of singing from Mediterranean to northern European, from ancient to modern. Like Gothica, the compositions contrast low bass tones with heavenly voices, but the music is calmer and softer. Hexperos plays a somber and sublime "music of love and mystery".
