There are at least two bands called "The House Band" 1. The House Band was formed in Edinburgh in 1984 and released only one, eponymous, album. The line up was: Ged Foley (vocals, guitar, Northumbrian smallpipes, mandolin); Roger Wilson (vocals, fiddle, guitar); Chris Parkinson (vocals, harmonica, accordion, melodeons); John Skelton (flutes, bombardes, whistles). Additional personnel: Bernie Nau (piano, keyboards); Mark Hellenberg (bodhran, dumbek, shakers, log). Some of the members later went on to form The New House Band.
