Carl Schuricht (1880-1967) was a conductor born in Danzig (Gdansk).
He invented a clear, almost objective style of conducting, based on fast tempos and flexible, but cleanly articulated orchestral playing that became known over. Many modern conductors owe a lot to him.
Carl Schuricht was nominated the director of the Berliner Philharmonischer Chor in 1933. During that period the "Concert for Trautonium AND Orchestra" by Harald Genzmer was presented with Oskar Sala as soloist.
