Neil James Innes (born 9 December 1944 in Danbury, Essex) is an English writer and performer of comic songs, best known for his collaborative work with Monty Python, and for playing in the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and later The Rutles. Neil has been reported in several articles on the internet to be the best comedic/satirical music writer and performer in at least the last 50 years. But not only is Neil Innes a comedy/parody musician, he has demonstrated a unparalleled talent for writing different styles of music while morphing his voice to fit the vocals.
