Arborea is an Indie Folk Rock duo from Maine. Formed in the summer of 2005 by husband and wife Buck Curran and Shanti Curran, their music follows in the progressive Folk Rock traditions of diverse artists like Pentangle, Tim Buckley, Sandy Denny, Jeff Buckley and Robbie Basho, as well as contemporaries Iron and Wine, Gillian Welch, Ray Lamontagne, Vashti Bunyan, and Devendra Banhart. Buck plays guitar, slide guitars, bowed strings, flutes, banjo, and vocals. Shanti provides lead vocals, banjo, ukulele, bowed strings, harmonium, and percussion.
