Chris Curtis was the drummer of The Searchers from the early sixties to 1966. He left the band that year after a serious nervous breakdown. He recorded some singles for Pye and then became a producer for the same company. Later on, he returned to Liverpool and abandoned the music business for good. Chris Curtis died recently.
