In August of 1995 Guus Meeuwis and his group ("Vagant") release their first single "Het is een nacht" (It is a night). It was a song that he wrote himself. The song became the summerhit of that year and was in the Dutch charts for 37 weeks! Whereas everyone thought they'd be a one-hit wonder, their debut album "Verbazing" (Amazement) enters the charts on number 1. Their second album "Schilderij" (Painting) gets a gold state in 1998 and they release their third album "1 voor allen" (1 for all) in 2001.
