Big Dipper was an energetic indie guitar band from Boston in the late '80s. They wrote incredibly infectious songs about the end of the world and girls who didn't know how beautiful they were. Their members included Bill Goffrier (formerly of The Embarassment), Steve Michener (formerly of Dumptruck and Volcano Suns), Gary Waleik (also formerly of Volcano Suns), and Jeff Oliphant.
