Made up of the brothers Bill & Earl Bolick, the Blue Sky Boys recorded off and on from the 1930's through the 1970's. Their primary years of activity occurred before the 1950's but they came out of retirement occasionally to record in later years. The Bolicks were raised in East Hickory NC and grew up singing hymns and gospel. They made their first recordings in 1936. They enjoyed considerable success on the hillbilly music circuit in the late 1930's.
