Julia Ecklar is a John W. Campbell-winning science fiction author and a singer and writer of filk music. She also writes under the pseudonym L.A. Graf (with Karen Rose Cercone). Her "Divine Intervention" album is widely held as one of the finest albums of the filk genre, combining orchestral and progressive-rock arrangements. She is currently recording a sequel project, "Indistinguishable from Magic", slated for a 2009 release.
