Adam first came to public attention in 1999 with the release of his debut album Blue Pop. All Music Guide named the CD "...among the best guitar-pop albums of the '90's..." Finding fans worldwide, songs from Blue Pop were also featured in primetime television programs and movies: Felicity, Jack and Jill, Jenifer (starring Laura San Giacomo), and The Matthew Shepard Story. In May 2000, Adam was invited to Miles Copeland's annual Castle songwriting retreat in France.
