Bob Davenport is a Geordie from Tyneside, though he has lived in Camden for most of his life. His quiet speaking voice belies his big-voiced singing style, which can be melodic or a cross between shouting and singing. His songs are often political - he is not a great fan of the ruling classes. He also sings a range of traditional songs, telling little stories in between, and he does hilarious monologues.
